Even though it's been nearly a year since I've worked on it, I am still working towards drawing the DC comics characters from the letters A-Z. Up this time is The Question. He actually started out as a Charlton Comics character, created by the now legendary Steve Ditko(co-creator of Spider-Man ). His very 1st appearance was in Blue Beetle #1, but he didn't make his DC comics debut until 1987(the company was bought out by DC, when they fell on hard times). Recently, he was a part of the year long storyline "52", in which he passed away & was replaced by Renee Montoya.
I can't believe it had been almost a year since I worked on the DC half of this lil' project, but I definately wasn't gonna' quit! I just had to add that lil' wift of question-y smoke to the mix, and thanks so much for the comment!

Out of all the DCAU characters who I feel most deserves a spinoff series of their own now that Justice League is over, The Question is my favourite!
I'm also a Star Trek fan, so I get lots of kicks seeing Jeffrey Combs in all his reccuring roles in the show :].
The tones in this drawing are most impressive, and I like how you gave him just a little bit of an impression of a mouth and nose :].
I think it would have been stronger if you had included a bit of his body though because it looks a bit funny with his head just floating there - or does he do that in the comics? . My only experience is from the cartoons .
The one thing I've never understood Question saying is in 'Question Authority' when he tells Luthor that "While my distaste for you as a human being is ????? ?????, what I'm about to do isn't personal." ???

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
The Cutting Edge is a weekly article that features brand new selected high quality art products that caught our eyes. Check out the cutting edge prints some of your fellow artists have submitted in the past week!
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
