For the letter "H" I decided to draw two characters this time. 1st up we have Havok(one of my fav. X-Men), otherwise known as Alexander Summers. Alex's 1st appearance was in in X-Men #54, but he didn't make an appearance in costume until #58. The younger brother of Scott Summers(X-Men's Cyclops), both brothers are immune to each other's abilities. Havok absorbs ambient cosmic energy, and can release it as waves of intense energy, in the form of super-heated plasma. The Hobgoblin's 1st appearance was in Amazing Spider-man #238. For the longest time Marvel comics teased and hinted to fans, as to who the mysterious villain might be...and then it turned out to be Ned Leeds. Come on! Ned Leeds? At least the Rose turned out to be the illegitimate son of the Kingpin...that was semi-surprising(even though the story was very ho-hummish) at least! Okay then...as to his abilities, just look at what the original Green Goblin could do, and add a few extra volts to his gloves and he(Hobgoblin) could lift about ten tons(the same as Spidey...what a shock!).

This piece also marks a unique event, as it will be the very 1st of my submissions to ever use the Advanced Critique Encouraged option...so please throw some constructive crits my way! :)

Why thank you very much! It took a lot of graphite for old Havok to come to life! :)

Is one typically that much larger than the other or is that just the way you drew it? Nice drawings though. :silentkitty:

WOW!! This is defenantly one of my favs among favs! Excellent work. You have great shade variations and quite a bit of detail. Mucho kudos to you. And as your friend above mentioned, cool poses. very dynamic. My only constructive crit is that the Hob Goblin looks a little off in "demention" for lack of a better word. Though I know you feel this may be due to the pose Havok is in, I still feel as though his legs are a little shorter than what they should be judging by where his waist is. However, I do feel over all you have done a fantastic job!
Yes, Hobgoblin was purposely drawn larger than Havok, so he wouldn't just be hiding in the background. Think of it as if they were not actually sharing the same space with one another. Thanks for the comment! :)

Even though Hobgoblin was intended to be larger than havok, I can definately see what you mean about the stunting of his legs. I'll have to make sure and try not to do that again for my next piece! Thanks ever so much for the nice words and the good crit, as it's exactly what I'm looking for! ;)
