This DC comics character is actually two people in one. Ronald Raymond(student) & Physics Professor Martin Stein, combine to form the nuclear powered Firestorm. The professor's mind inhabits the body of Ronnie Raymond, and provides guidance and knowledge of the elements and formulas needed to carry out his vast abilities. Firestorm can transmute inorganic objects from one object to whatever he and the professor can think of. This potentially makes him one of the most powerful characters in the DC universe! Obviously by seeing the names of the persons involved in making the change to Firestorm, I'm drawing upon the original character, who made his 1st appearance in Firestorm #1. Since his powers are based upon a form of nuclear fission, I decided to modify his original costume slightly to include a type of portable cooling cell that would counteract the intense heat levels created from the nuclear reaction. Thus I added this addition to his costume in both his gauntlets and boots, and considered that the nuclear waste bi-products would be consumed by Firestorm's own metabolism, preventing him from harming his fellow crime fighters, or those in which he was trying to save.
